In its recent quarterly earnings report that accounts for sales between April 1st to June 30th, Microsoft revealed that it had sold in (aka shipped) 1.1 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units. Keep in mind that shipped units are different from units actually sold – Microsoft is still yet to offer information on the Xbox One’s lifetime sales worldwide.

Last we had heard, the Xbox One had surpassed 5 million units sold in worldwide, with Microsoft having shipped 2 million units in the previous quarter. We know that Xbox One sales doubled in the United States after the console lost Kinect and dropped $100 in price. But it’ll still be some time before actual sales figures are revealed it seems.

Could the margin between the Xbox One and PS4, which has sold more than 7 million units worldwide, really be that wide? Let us know what you think in the comments below as well as any possible reasons the sales figures haven’t been revealed yet.
