The Xbox One will be receiving even more backwards compatible Xbox 360 games in 2017 and while that’s pretty much a given, Xbox boss Phil Spencer hinted at January’s line-up looking “pretty good”.

Spencer made the comment on Twitter when a fan asked if he could pre-announce a future backwards compatible game. He simply replied that, “January looks pretty good for [backwards compatibility].”

He noted in another tweet that, “Back compat was good as it brought a bunch of nostalgia back without all the games needing to be redone or rebought.”

Spencer himself is a big fan of the technology. “I love that [backwards compatibility] is bringing great games to people who didn’t get to play on 360.”

Regardless of what January 2017 holds, it’s safe to say that backwards compatibility support will be pretty healthy for the Xbox One in the near future. Which title are you hoping to see announced? Let us know in the comments below.
