Phil-Spencer

Phil Spencer, the head of the Xbox Division of Microsoft is well known for taking to Twitter to talk with fans and other industry insiders, more often than not giving direct answers or at least giving some teasing information in reply.

One Twitter user suggested making a crossover between the popular Halo and Gears of War franchises which would look utterly amazing from a conceptual point of view, but it would make no sense whatsoever and be practically impossible to do without turning both games into a parody of themselves. To that end, Phil said, “Probably want to change genres if we were going to do this. Not sure it’s in our future but interesting idea.”

Another Twitter user wanted to pair the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows 10 supported PC’s, to which Phil replied, “That’s a good idea, give us some time.” So mark that one down as an optimistic, yet unofficial confirmation.

Phil also confirmed that he won’t be turning up at Geoff Keighley’s The Video Game Awards 2014, he said, “I won’t be at the VGAs this year, sorry to be missing it.”
