In case you were curious about who “won” E3 2014, Xbox head Phil Spencer believes that it was a week where gamers in general were the winners.

Speaking on Xbox Wire, Spencer said, “We saw amazing games from innovative creators, developed for Xbox, Sony, and Nintendo. Some people have asked who ‘won’ this week and the answer is simple–the gamers. It’s wonderful to see our industry healthy and delivering what we all want – great games.”

The current approach with the Xbox One is to deliver the best possible exclusives. The Holiday season will include nine exclusives (including a beta for Fable Legends) for the console and as Spencer says, “As we look ahead, our team is laser focused on delivering the best line-up of exclusive games and continuously working to deliver new features and improvements to Xbox One. As always, we look forward to your feedback.”

What are your thoughts on gamers winning E3 though? Let us know in the comments.
