Xbox One Kinect and Gameplay Tour Show Off Butter Smooth UI

Seriously, it's incredible.

Look, I’m no fan of Kinect: Microsoft’s focus on the misguided peripheral for the Xbox 360 led them to change focus midway into the generation, and to shift from becoming a provider of compelling exclusive content to chasing the Wii’s pot of gold. So yes, I understand the resentment towards it (even more, now that it is included in every box with the Xbox One). But I’ll be damned if it doesn’t do wonders for the console’s UI and OS.

The Xbox One UI looks like Windows 8- while the UI has been divisive on PCs, it is largely acknowledged to be very well suited to media devices, which is what the Xbox One is. And navigation with the Kinect makes it all flow so smoothly and organically. Looks like all that RAM reserved for the OS is being put to good use.

Xbox One launches in less than one month. Stay tuned for more coverage.
