Xbox One New UI Screenshot Shared By Microsoft

Changes for the better.

Posted By | On 17th, Jan. 2017

The Xbox One will be getting a minor facelift to its UI, with a change to how the Xbox Home/Guide functions perform. In general, the new UI changes are designed to facilitate faster access to common actions, as well as easier and more flexible multitasking.

In addition, it also appears as though the clock and battery indicators will now be ever present- previously, you needed to be at the home screen to be able to see them, so this looks to be another change made with usability and accessibility of relevant information and functions in mind.

This new update should be rolling out early next week, at least to those of you who are members of the Xbox Insider Program; for others, you’re going to have to wait until large scale beta testing of the update is done, and it is rolled out to everyone at large. Presumably, that should happen within the next month or so.
