Xbox One S Trade In Program Extended By GameStop

Running out of excuses to not get one, at this point.

Xbox One S

GameStop’s rather attractive trade in program for the Xbox One S, where you trade in one of the other relevant current generation systems to get up to $200 off from Microsoft’s slimline revision, was originally only valid on July 30- but now, the retailer has gone ahead and extended the offer through all of August.

The offer accepts trade ins of a PlayStation 4, an Xbox One, a Wii U, or a Nintendo 3DS towards a new Xbox One S (any bundle and any SKU)- trading in a PS4 gets $200 knocked off the price, trading in an Xbox One nets you a $150 discount, while Wii U and 3DS net you $100. Unfortunately, PS Vita trade ins don’t seem to get you anything special- the system is so dead even GameStop doesn’t seem to want it at this point.

The Xbox One S is a rather substantial upgrade, and makes for a very attractive and alluring proposition, especially because of all the under the hood improvements that it has received. If you were looking to jump into the next generation of Xbox, the One S represents your best bet.
