Xbox One Scorpio Games Already in Development – Spencer

Doesn't mean they're exclusives though.

Microsoft has been pretty gung-ho about Project Scorpio, the successor to the Xbox One that will enable true 4K gaming and also support VR. Though the company has been insisting that it’s for players with 4K screens, it was also noted that there wouldn’t be any “exclusives” per say.

Which makes sense – why fracture your audience, especially with so many on the Xbox One already and also picking up the new Xbox One S? However, in a recent tweet, Xbox boss Phil Spencer was asked if developers were already working with Scorpio. “Yes, hardware, platform and games.”

Firstly, we’re guessing “hardware” refers to the actual technology while “platform” alludes to the interface and features but that’s just us.

Secondly, it’s possible that Spencer meant developers were working on bringing their games to the Project Scorpio – as in the process of having them output at 4K resolution. This isn’t exactly confirmation of exclusives. But yes, games are being worked on for Scorpio.
