Xbox One X

The Xbox One X is just two days away from launch, and as such, a lot of reviewers have had the chance to test the upcoming console. Mike Ybarra of Microsoft recently took to Twitter, and based on one such review by True Achievements, he posted some statistics that show that load times for games on the Xbox One X are 22-44 per cent faster than on the basic Xbox One.

These load times all represent the time it takes to get to the main menu after booting the game without skipping any of the cutscenes. Forza Motorsport 7 loads 26.9% quicker on the Xbox One X than it does on the Xbox One, while Middle-Earth: Shadow of War is similarly improved at 27.6%. Life is Strange loads 22.6% faster as well.

The most significant improvement, however, has to be with indie title Limbo. While it takes 15.2 seconds to get to the main menu on an Xbox One, on an Xbox One X it only takes 8.4 seconds, which is 44.4% quicker.

That is a serious upgrade. And while it could be easy to say that games such as Life is Strange and Limbo aren’t very taxing on a system, it should be noted that massive titles such as Forza 7 and Shadow of War are also loading significantly quicker.

The Xbox One X launches worldwide on November 7. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage.
