Xbox One X Will Top Black Friday Sales In US, Says Michael Pachter

But PS4 will win globally.

Xbox One X

Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has predicted over his Twitter feed (when asked which of the ‘Big three’ will win Black Friday), that the Xbox One X will propel Microsoft over the top in their home territory, but PlayStation is likely to win globally.

Though Microsoft has their Xbox One S on sale for about $10 cheaper than the PS4 Slim, which is being offered for $199 USD, Pachter believes that the more compelling factor is what friends are playing. The larger install base enjoyed by the PlayStation 4 is likely going to be a larger factor.

“New buyers buy what is recommended by friends, Sony has a bigger installed base, so more recommendations.” said Pachter.

While worldwide is likely a different story based on that factor, Pachter believes that the Xbox One X will draw in plenty of US buyers to Microsoft’s offerings. Pachter did not clarify the comment further, but it can likely be assumed that strong sales of the 4K system are likely to continue through the Black Friday Weekend.
