An earlier rumor gets squashed by the source.
The next generation of consoles are just around the corner and, of course, there’s lots of buzz about them. From legitimate sources who actually know what they’re talking about, and from some…less than legit ones. Now we got one rumor squashed from Microsoft themselves in relation to an alleged camera that was going to be a focal point of their next console.
Tech website Gizmodo published a lengthy article about alleged leaks they’d gotten for both the PS5 and Xbox Scarlett. There’s a ton of information in there, so you can check out the full article through here, but one aspect was that the Xbox Scarlett would have a 4K camera that would be integrated into the system for streamers with various options. It was said to be somewhat of a natural extension of what the company attempted with the Xbox One’s launch and the Kinect camera features.
Well, as you can see in an update to that article, Microsoft reached out to the site to confirm that part of the article was not true, saying that the Scarlett will not have a 4k camera of any kind. Guess to stream, you’ll need the usual equipment after all for your next gen Xbox.
