HALO INFINITE TO LAUNCH WITHOUT MULTIPLAYER
Before Halo Infinite was delayed into 2021, reports claimed that the game would be launching without its multiplayer. Predictably enough, that story blew up, only for 343 Industries community manager Brian Jarrard to conclusively put them to bed not long afterward. To be fair, Xbox boss Phil Spencer did recently say that shipping Halo Infinite in parts was considered at one point, but Jarrard has since added that that was actually a very brief discussion about possible launching the multiplayer first and just delaying the campaign- but even that, as we now know, was deemed unfeasible.
