With 2020 being about the worst year I can remember (let’s hope 2021 is a bit better, huh?), it has felt like it was a very long ways to finally get to these console launches, but we’re finally here. Sony launched their PS5 officially yesterday and Microsoft launched both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S earlier in the week. Of course, as always is the case, which is better and what is worth what is what many early adopters will be arguing and console warring about, but it seems as if the companies themselves want to keep it friendly, for now anyway.

On the official Xbox Twitter, the brand gave a tip of its hat to the launch of the PS5 and wished Sony congratulations. That’s really all there is to it here, but hey, that’s nice, right? I think it’s nice anyway.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is now available in select regions with a worldwide rollout coming November 19th. Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S is available now worldwide.
