In just a couple of weeks, we’ll be returning to the fantastical world of Xenoblade Chronicles with an enhanced remaster of the first title. The game will let us again jump into the massive world with all the familiar characters and locations of the vast original, but it’s not without new content as well. The biggest is the “Future Connected” epilogue that will bring an entirely new chapter. But it’s not all that will be new, as we got details today of a Time Attack mode not present in either the original or 3DS re-release.

Time Attack will be a new mode that you can access from a portal found near the Furnace in Colony 9. You will be tasked with clearing waves of enemies in both Free and Restricted modes. You’ll be rewarded with crystals that you can exchange for gems, equipment and costumes. You can check out screens of it below on the official Japanese Twitter (and thanks to Wccftech for translations).

Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition launches May 29th for Nintendo Switch.
