Get your robotic zombie-killing urge on.

Yaiba Ninja Gaiden Z (3)
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z finally has a firm release date. Tecmo Koei has announced that the Keiji Inafune-directed hack and slash smorgasbord of style will be out on March 4th 2014 in North America for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with a European release date planned for a week earlier (February 25th).

Meant as a spin-off to the Ninja Gaiden series, Yaiba is a radical departure from the formula in both its art style and atmosphere as you’ll control a ninja with a cybernetic arm cutting a path through mutated zombies to take revenge on one Ryu Hayabusa. You might’ve heard of him.

Developer Spark Unlimited is aiming for an American comic book style of visuals in order to differentiate Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z from the crowd. We’d have to say it looks spiffy but then, so did Grasshopper Manufacture’s Killer is Dead. Will Yaiba deliver on its promises? We’ll find out next year.
