After highlighting Kiryu’s Combat Styles in Yakuza Kiwami 3, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has released a new trailer focusing on Yoshitaka Mine’s battle prowess in Dark Ties. Despite his business background, Mine can more than hold his own in a fight, beating down opponents with shoot-boxing techniques.
On top of exploiting openings, he can kick off enemies and immediately transition into attacking others. Mine also possesses the Dark Awakening skill, unchaining his “inner darkness” and unleashing a barrage of attacks. They may seem like straightforward strikes, but add in the ability to grab a downed opponent and drag his head across the ground.
Its Heat Action is similarly brutal, kicking an enemy into the air before breaking their back with a knee lift. While Kiryu’s Styles may offer more depth (which makes sense given the scale of the remake), Mine’s combat packs its own unique brutality that will be worth delving into.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties launch on February 12th 2026, as a $69.99 two-in-one package. It will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. For more details on Dark Ties, including how it started as a video, head here.
