Yakuza Like A Dragon

The Yakuza series is going through a big shift when the lastest entry in the series hits at the beginning of next year. Yakuza: Like a Dragon will see the series go from an old school brawler type of game to a full blown Japanese RPG. It includes all kinds of common trope of RPGs, such as summons, and it will also have plenty of side characters. Today we get an introduction to two of them with new screenshots.

The first is Koichi Adachi, a former cop who was demoted after a conflict with his boss. He discovers that his boss is being bribed by the Yakuza and gets close to the game’s protagonist. Interesting tidbit of trivia, the character is modeled after and voiced by Akio Otsuka, who is none other than Solid Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series.

Secondly, we get Saeko Mukouda. She is a hostess working in a cabaret club, ran by powerful people. She’s tough as nails, and is entrusted with running the establishment by her employees.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will release sometime next year exclusively for PlayStation 4. To keep track of all the news related to the game, we got you covered through here.
