Ryu ga Gotoku’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon, the latest title in the Yakuza franchise, is out now for PS5. It originally released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4 and PC in November 2020. Check out the launch trailer below to see how the game looks.
Yakuza: Like a Dragon follows the story of Ichiban Kasuga, part of the Arakawa Family in the Tojo Clan. After going to prison to take the fall for a murder, Kasuga emerges nearly 20 years later to find the Tojo Clan in dire straits. Thus does he embark on a journey to discover the truth and make his own way.
Unlike previous titles, combat in Yakuza: Like a Dragon is completely turn-based. Players can equip different gear and items, learn different skills, utilize Summons and much more in combat. The action is much more over-the-top in keeping with Kasuga’s love of old-school RPGs but still features many of the same side activities and retro titles that players would expect.
