In August, a trademark filing by Sega seemingly spilled the beans on an unannounced upcoming Yakuza / Like a Dragon title called Yakuza Wars, sparking speculation among series fans over what the mystery game could be. Now, though an official announcement still hasn’t been made, further details on the game seem to have emerged.

Spotted by Twitter user Knoebel, the official Chinese Facebook page for Yakuza Wars seems to have gone live, revealing details on the title. As per the page, Yakuza Wars will be a mobile game and will allow players to fight alongside popular characters from across the Yakuza / Like a Dragon franchise, and will feature “innovative strategic war gameplay.”

“Sega’s first officially authorized Like a Dragon mobile game is a new classic gangster-themed masterpiece for mobile phones, creating innovative strategic war gameplay,” a brief description on the page reads. “Here, you can fight side by side with classic characters such as Kiryu Kazuma, Kasuga Ichiban, and Majima Goro, and write your own legendary story in the underworld world.”

Yakuza Wars could potentially be announced soon. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed in July that it would be announcing its next game at Tokyo Game Show, which is scheduled for later this month. Though the studio hasn’t said much about the title, it has said it’s going to “surprise” fans.
