COD Ghosts Xbox One
According to a listing on Xbox.com, Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts is billed to release on November 5th for Xbox One console.

If you didn’t read that right, then that’s because the Xbox One doesn’t have an official launch date. It is being billed as releasing in November. However, right there, on Microsoft’s own site, it states the Call of Duty: Ghosts will be releasing on November 5th for the Xbox One.

Even if this is a bit of a goof-up – the official worldwide release date for Ghosts is also November 5th – it can’t be a mere coincidence given how the Xbox One is coming out in the same month. And what better way for the console to have the jump on the PS4 then having its marquee third person title come to the console before the PlayStation 4 even launches?

Unless the PS4 launches a week after, which would be hilarious. Stay tuned for more details.

Don’t games release before the hardware sometimes?

You are correct. Activision has already stated the game would likely release before the next generation of consoles are available.

It’s important to note that this page no longer exists. I just went there and the date is no longer pictured. If that was just for the game, they’d release a statement or place a disclaimer on the page saying as much. Instead, they removed it.

Ladies and gentlemen, we now have a much more specific launch window. It will be out by the time COD launches, or the same day. November 1-5: there’s your Xbox One window. Mark it down.
