Infinity Ward has unveiled new information on its multiplayer component for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare over the past few months. However, it’s remained conspicuously quiet on campaign and Spec Ops footage. That will be changing in the weeks leading up to launch, with campaign gameplay footage to be revealed at the end of September.
According to the official Call of Duty Twitter, which lays out a roadmap of sorts for reveals prior to launch, cross-play details will be revealed in the week of September 16th. We already know that both PC and console users can opt out of playing with/against each other. Cross-play can also be tested out in the second beta from September 19th to 23rd.
If that wasn’t enough, gameplay footage will also be revealed for the Spec Ops mode in the week of October 7th. The mode will offer co-op missions with varying difficulties, but we’ll finally get to see what that entails and how it differs from previous Modern Warfare games. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
