Halo 6 Won’t Be At E3, 343 Industries Confirms

But they do have a small something planned regardless.

Microsoft has stated that it is looking to announce new games at E3 this year, and that it has some surprising first party games up its sleeve in the coming months. Halo 5 launched two years ago, and this yer marks the tenth anniversary of Halo 3. But if you were expecting all of that to come together and culminate in a Halo 6 reveal at E3 this year, well, you might want to watch your expectations.

“I’ll slip into my Dreamcrusher persona for a minute in the name of realistic expectations: We’ve said this already but we’ll have a little something at E3 but it’s not related to the next major entry in the franchise,” 343 Industries community manager Brian Jarrard said on Reddit.

That wording also seems to rule out a Halo 3 Anniversary; it also obviously seems to rule out Halo 6. It sounds like whatever small surprise 343 Industries has planned might have to do with Halo Wars 2, which launched earlier this year.

Whatever it is, we will find out next month at E3 for sure. Stay tuned to GamingBolt.

    • Ehmm.. the PS4 Pro can do more than 8 Teraflops in 2 x 16-bit computations :).. the scorpio can not do 2 x 16-bit computations.

Teraflops dont mean nothing anymore, its all about the games this year and next year!

Hahha.. im gonna laugh so hard when you play old xbox360 games on the scorpio (thinking they automatically would be 4k) that STILL WONT be native 4k.. they are lying to you.

Only forza, gears and halo will be 4k/60fps on the scorpio cuss those are their 1st party games.

Older games that have a locked resolution and framerate won’t magically be displayed in 4k on the Scorpio lol.. digital foundry said this.

MS is already working on Scorpio 2 cause they know it’s not gonna be as huge as they are hyping it up to be.

People who dont have a 4k tv won’t buy the scorpio and shouldnt buy it. Phil Spencer said it himself..

You’re lucky if the xbox brand still exists next year!

Gran turismo can only muster 1800 and still has frame drops.

    • Yeah you say that because you saw the digital foundry review.. but even they said that it was just a beta and not the full version of the game.

The real release of GT Sport is still months away.. and those frame drops didn’t go below 50fps.. you would barely notice that, the majority of the game will be a steady and smooth experience. Not to mention the visuals are stunning and the car models are just so sexy and glossy, the eye for detail is amazing, on the outside and inside of the cars.

GT Sport will be the basis for GT 7 so i don’t even consider it a full GT game but more of an apetizer or preview of what’s to come.

    • Yeh keep changin ur nick.. lol pathetic

    • Smart guy

Actually u are wrong on every level:)

    • Lol u afraid to keep ur nick? Why u change it?

Is this ur tactic to hype up the scorpio under different nicks? Hahah.. so thats how desperate u xbots are. Pathetic :/

    • Smart guy

Is that supposed to be nickname? Lol u have me confused for yourself or Mrs Xrat/crazy black girl. I know the last two alts are the same person everyone does but u on the other hand are not although the same in par of intelligence lol. No one who supports anything MS is desperate nor will be little guy 🙂 but enjoy your underpowered puss station semi pro!! I returned mine on day two nothing about it was impressive at all even on my LG OLED 4k tv lol but now the Scorpio though will be the perfect fit for it. The Switch was a much better choice then that half a$$ed “upgrade” sony disgrace.

Microsoft wants to focus on new IPs at this year’s E3 what’s wrong with that? Obviously this is a good thing

    • crazy_black_man- ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

LOL. That’s the funniest thing I heard today. Almost made me drop my wine.

    • Smart guy

You mean beer. Your not a classy b*tch just some dumb hood female who’s been ran through by all the men on the block :))

    • crazy_black_man- ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

      Daaaamn. Vicious.

    • Smart guy

      Thank u 🙂

    • “Microsoft wants to focus on new IP”.. lol smh

MS is not takin a risk with a new Halo, but they are with new IP?!

I dont think they want to do new IP. They want 3rd party developers to do their thing so they can sit back and not have to invest in new studios like Sony has been doing since day 1.

Look.. If they ain’t doing Halo then they ain’t doing nuthin. Dont start about Forza or Gears. :/

    • Mr Xrat

With any luck they won’t be trash this time, Kirk.

Wow, that really points towards MS really announcing new IP’s or a hard disappointment at e3

  • Just another xbox drop in a big vast Sony ocean..

  • Smart guy
