Mass Effect Andromeda

Ever since Mass Effect: Andromeda was announced at this year’s E3 there has been quite a bit of excitement over the look of the game. Those who have gotten plenty excited can apparently even get more excited considering that the development team has been talking about how hard they’ve been working to make the game look even better. Chris Wynn has often taken to Twitter to share pretty vague little factoids. It’s pretty clear the entire development team has to keep things under wraps until an appointed time.

Yanick Roy even took to his own Twitter account in order to give a bit of a hint as to when they might let a bit of info out of the bag. Roy and Mike Gamble were asked on Twitter a question “in honor of “Ask a stupid question day” Any chance of some Mass Effect Andromeda news?” Gamble responded he needed to wait until “stupid answer day.” Roy answered that tweet by saying that they were saving up information “for winter.”

Meanwhile, Chris Wynn is talking about the fact that the graphics have been souped up, to the point where they’re quite a bit better than what Bioware showed in the E3 trailer. He added that what the trailer showed was in-engine but it was just a teaser as far as what the game has planned. It’s going to be a bit of a wait before we get a ton of concrete information about the game. While there isn’t a set in stone release date, it is expected to be released during the Holiday season of 2016.

hope it doesnt get downgraded because of the consoles but lets face it the ps4 owners wouldnt care if its low settings 30 fps as long as it was 1080p and the x1 was 900p. Then the master race sitting pretty with super hyper special graphics thats just damn amazing

Next year graphics are gonna make a leap; just look at Doom, Qbreak, Uncharted, Horizon etc. Can’t wait to see ME4.

Exclusives yes, multiplat not so much on consoles. UC4 will be the pinnacle that ps4 can achieve

U aren’t impressed by Doom 4?! Shame on u man….that ish looks dam good running at high frames too.

By the time Doom 4 comes out, other, more impressive games will be around or comparable.

It reminds me of the days of Half-Life 2 and Doom 3. When Doom 3 was first shown everyone was like “Wait, that’s in-game?!” Doom 2 moving up to graphics like that?! Damn! And Half-Life 2, well, made people crap bricks. The PC market wasn’t as contested as it is now with visually-appealing games though, and Source 2 will surely make people blink twice whenever they do show a game build on the Source 2 engine and not made for VR.

Doom 4 looks fine – but, there’ll always be ‘better’ in the graphics department.

I understand by a business perspective why Bioware are doing this. They revealed themselves too early – and have to keep themselves relative and in the information circle.

Sorta like how Kojima kept on posting images of MGS5 on his twitter account, even if most shots were Snake in the Helicopter. He still was posting frequent media of the game to keep people interested about the title.

Bioware however….are just making promises, it’s weak. The logic can only be pointed at whether or not EA forced them to reveal it too early. Or if Bioware themselves were stupid enough to do that. Have to think of it at an Internal-Development and business point of view, since Publishers like to push developers to make a scene for ‘fiscal months/years’ for specific reasons behind the scenes all the time just to flaunt their cards of what they got being developed – which in turn is to provide evidence to their stock holders that they’re still making games and are worth being invested in….. But, the sole argument is, if it’s Bioware’s fault for showing it early and not EA’s fault for rushing them – they’re stupid. Are they under a contract to be unable to show even screenshots of the game? Of concepts? Teasing anything? We have to think why they’re disallowed from teasing anything but mere Text-based promises, if something is holding them back from simply teasing us like Kojima did.

That’s at least how I see things.

Yeah maybe they’re just tryna get peoples’ trust back after the ME3 ending fiasco. Either way I luv the series, one of my best all time. But I am gettin tired of them tweeting stuff, it’s a dam year away. Still can’t wait tho.

If we heard nothing substantial about ME:A on N7 Day(7thNov), I fear this game is going to release in 2017Q1. Because I don’t think they will show us the gameplay for the first time at E3-2016 and release the game just months after.

Except Fallout4, no big AAA game releases within the year when showed to public at E3 for the first time.
