Horizon: Zero Dawn

In a post show interview with Geoff Keighley, Guerrilla Games’ Hermen Hulst revealed that there are many classes of Machines that the player will come across in the upcoming open world action role playing game, Horizon: Zero Dawn. Some of the machines have limited abilities whereas others will be more powerful.

“There are a ton of different machines. What we have shown at E3…the tiny little watcher which is kind of limited in its combat abilities but it can call other enemies. You saw the Grazer which are in herds and are great for resources. You also saw the Thunder Jaws and it has a lot of different attacks and it’s massive. Also in the background you saw Long Necks which is a kind of a communications unit. So we have a whole bunch to talk about later,” Hulst stated.

Machines fights seems to be an intriguing gameplay mechanics as it sounds similar to monster contracts in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt but we shall see how this pans out. Guerrilla Games have assured that they will be talking more about the role playing mechanics in the future. Personally, I want to know more about the exploration aspects of the game and how big the world is. Horizon: Zero Dawn is due next year exclusively for the PS4.
