Capcom’s Resident Evil: Revelations 2 finally has a release date, sort of. According to the PlayStation Blog, survival horror fans can expect all four episodes and previously released DLC (other than consumables) to arrive for the handheld this Summer. Whether that’s June or July or even later than that remains to be seen. Expect a more solid release date in the coming months.

Since the release of the final episode on PS3 and PS4, Frima Studio has had all the available code necessary to finish porting the game. Both local and online co-op for Raid Mode will be available in an update after the launch and the gyroscopic technology will be used for targeting and shooting weapons. This will provide a more Vita-esque feel to the portable title.

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 functions as a sort of spiritual successor to the first game and focuses on Claire Redfield and Moira Burton as they try to escape an unpredictable situation. Barry Burton, along with a new character Natalia Korda.
