Last week we had reported that Kaz Hirai has been promoted to the position of President, according to Nikkei. This was supposed to happen in April, this year.
But Sony Board has now released a statement where spokesperson Shiro Kambe stated that Kaz Hirai has not been promoted as President and the Board is still considering it’s options. However, Howard Stringer will probably retain Chairman and CEO status.
