Neither game is actually a Sony product.

Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan and Asia have opened up their official Youtube page and much to our surprise they have debuted with footage of games that have not been developed or published by them.

The channel has been promising it will be bringing a wide range content and livestreams from various developers. It can only be assumed most of the livestreams will be of Sony products but the first two videos they showed off on their channel happen to have content from two games that have, in fact, not been made or owned by Sony.

The first video shows off a ton of different content, but features some footage of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild …a Nintendo product. The other video again features a large swath of content including the upcoming Microsoft title, Sea of Thieves. Check out the two \videos below.

    Confusing.

  • Thats very strange

Do you even timestamp? I don’t feel like skimming through a 3 hour video and a 2 hour video. Are you telling the truth?

Ok. I see they had pictures of a Zelda booth, and people on line for Zelda, and also a picture of the “Nintendo” logo next to Zelda. Since they are speaking Japanese, it’s possible they were simply talking about games they were looking forward to. Do you speak Japanese to verify that they claimed those games were theirs?

This is about 1 hour and 32 minutes in, btw.

    • Beefy Card

Whoa, ease up there, Trigger. In no part of this article did anybody say that Sony “claimed those games were theirs”.

    • Gio

It doesn’t, but it says that they are showing footage of games that aren’t theirs, sort of implying that.

I’m also coming to this video from this fanboy who interpreted that way.

Exactly, it just notes that they are showing footage from Nintendo and Microsoft. They didn’t make any judgments beyond that. No need to jump into aggressive defense mode until we have more information.

    • Gio

Did you see the video I linked? The guy in that video made it like Sony stole footage to pass of as their own. This article sort of implies that right in the title. Those videos are 3 and 2 hours long, why would the author of this article mention that they showed games from Nintendo and MS to begin with? Why single out those short clips within each video?

They are either implying that Sony is trying to deceit people, or they want to confuse people to assume that in an effort to generate traffic.

    • Beefy Card

No, I didn’t click the link because I don’t care what YouTube fanboys think. They have no impact on my enjoyment of video games.

That said, I am simply replying to your comments. In my opinion you jumped the gun a bit by being so aggressive with your defense of Sony. The writer did not claim anything beyond the fact that those two games appeared in videos on Sony’s Japanese YouTube account. I think your subsequent argument about implying some ulterior motive to Sony is a bit far fetched but I am not going to argue with you on that one.

Just mellow for a bit, okay? Your paycheck from Sony will be exactly the same size whether you go agro with your defense or not.

    • Gio

I perfectly mellow, stop assuming I’m angry. I interpreted the article differently, that doesn’t mean I’m coming into Sony’s defense.

    • Beefy Card

Well, your initial comment on this article was weirdly aggressive. If you claim that you’re mellow then I believe you but I’m sure you can understand why someone might think you were a bit emotionally charged after reading that comment.

    • Gio

It wasn’t aggressive. I was coming from that video I linked.

    • Beefy Card

Not sure why you edited your comment (the whole comment gets sent to our email addresses)

Be that as it may, your initial post was a bit aggressive. I’m not trying to belittle you or anything by pointing it out. I’m not sure what that video has to do with it but try not to let trolls get to you.

I was just about to state all of this. Sony Japan had a segment of their E3 booth tour in which they checked out Nintendo and Zelda, as well as Xbox’s booth with Sea of Thieves, Cuphead, etc. They showed no actual footage outside of a few second of blurry clips of Zelda, and just pictures and swag they picked up.

      Gamingbolt. You need better reporting.
