Takes place on a planet called Feycreed and features seamless, real-tile battles.
Square Enix has been teasing a new game for the past few days, leading many to believe it would be a new Star Ocean title. Whether you trust the count-down or not when it ends tomorrow, Famitsu (via Gematsu) has confirmed that tri-Ace is working on a new Star Ocean game for the PS4 and PS3.
Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness will take place on Feycreed, a planet that is 6,000 light years from Earth. There will apparently be seamless, real-tile battles and thus far, three characters have been revealed: Fedel Camus, Miki Sorvesta and Lilia. More information will surely be revealed soon.
However, it seems unlikely that publisher Square Enix will reveal more information at E3 2015, especially since neither a Japanese nor Western release has been mentioned yet. Perhaps at Tokyo Game Show 2015? We’re interested to see how Star Ocean 5 will ultimately unfold since it’s the first game in the series to arrive on PS4 so stay tuned for more.
