The Witcher 3 Dev: Talking About PS4/Xbox One Resolutions “is Pointless”

Michał Krzemiński refuses to throw a rock in the on-going resolution war.

The Witcher 3

While many developers are quick to announce the designated frame rate and resolution for a game – especially on the PS4 and Xbox One – there are those who like to remain a bit cagey on the subject, not even mentioning the targets in mind. That’s how The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developer Michał Krzemiński felt as he spoke to GamesTM on the subject.

When asked about resolution differences in formats, Krzemiński stated that, “If you’re asking me to throw a rock in the PS4 vs. Xbox One resolution war, I won’t. The game is not finished and talking about resolutions [and framerates] is, I think, pointless.”

The topic has indeed been the subject of controversy since the release of both next gen consoles, especially with regards to the Xbox One’s inability to achieve 1080p resolution and 60 FPS for many first and third party titles. Do you agree with CD Projekt RED’s opinion, especially with regards to a project’s age? Let us know in the comments below.

    Latest Witcher 3 rumor was 720p Xbox, 900p PS4, but trying for 1080p PS4.

You’re full of crap, no need to put your guess up here.

See you in the Witcher 3 article where PS4 runs at a higher res/framerate than Xbox. Trust me, I have my “crow on a plate” picture all ready.

Don’t get all fanboy on me, I prefer xbox but I already have a PS3 and Sony hasn’t given me a reason to upgrade yet especially when I have a back log of games I’m trying to finish. I will get a PS4 when H-Hour comes out if not before that. I play mostly multiplayer games so Xbox live is a better service then PSN+ for that.

You seem like a huge fanboy to me.March 21 is enough to buy a Ps4.

So I’m a fanboy because I’m not interested in Infamous: Second Son. Besides I’ll be busy playing Titanfall with my buddies and playing Dark Souls 2 on my PS3. If it was TLOU2, SOCOM or a new God of War I’d buy a PS4 right away.

    • Mikeherp Derp

What does that have to do with the fact Witcher 3 will run better on PS4?

    • Michael Norris

He isn’t bullshitting that is the rumor.

It’s not a guess kid. It was posted by one of the key Neogaf members who’s correct most of the time. It’s possible that it’ll turn out to be untrue, but unlikely. This shouldn’t surprise anyone anyway. PS4 version is a higher resolution? Status quo…
