Tom Clancy's The Division

Ubisoft has been rather busy in the past 24 hours. Along with revealing Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, the publisher confirmed that AAA franchises like Assassin’s Creed and Rainbow Six would no longer have previous gen versions and that Tom Clancy’s The Division has been delayed to Q1 2016.

CEO Yves Guillemot spoke about the delay in a recent earnings report, stating that, “It’s an RPG online game. So those games take more time to be completed.”

Guillemot also mentioned that, “We want to make sure we have enough feedback from consumers from alpha and betas to polish it as much as possible before the launch. So that it comes to the market with the best experience possible.”

Given information that users have found about The Division receiving an alpha in the coming months, this is as good of an official confirmation as we’ll get from Ubisoft. We expect a more concrete announcement at E3 2015 though so stay tuned for more information.
