The newest update for the Xbox One, now available in Xbox Preview, apparently brings with it richer Achievement notifications. Taking a leaf out of the book of Sony’s rarity percentages for Trophies, Achievement notifications now indicate the rarity of the Achievement that you have just unlocked. Rare Achievements are now accompanied by a new notification sound, as well a diamond icon.
Achievement rarity was already something you could peruse on Xbox One previously- but now, you won’t have to even exit the game you are playing or interrupt your play session. The Achievement notification itself will tell you right away if you’ve unlocked a rare notification.
In addition, the update naturally brings with it some bug fixes that you can see below:
Xbox Preview Update Bug Fixes:
- Sky TV, Now TV, HBO Go
- Resolved an issue which could prevent users from playing content in the following apps: Sky TV, Now TV, or HBO Go.
- Snap
- Resolved an issue which sometimes caused stuttering when playing a game with a snapped app.
- Notifications
- When receiving voice messages from another user, you should now receive a notification.
- Home
- Resolved an issue which caused description tiles for most recently used games and apps to appear solid instead of transparent.
Known Issues:
- Clubs
- When viewing Clubs, you may still see the option to start a Club Party even if you are not a Club member.
