007 First Light’s Campaign Will Take 20 Hours for the Average Player to Beat

That number doesn't include Tac Sim mode, which contains various optional missions with modifiers to unlock new weapons and upgrades.

007 First Light, for all the rollercoaster action interspersed between sandbox levels with approaches befitting a super spy, is a fairly meaty experience. It seemed a given, especially with IO Interactive’s work on the Hitman series, but the average player can expect to finish the campaign in 20 hours.

This is according to YouTuber JorRaptor, who spoke to the development team as part of the recent series of hands-on previews. Interestingly, he added that this is without the Tac Sim mode, where Bond can engage in various scenarios based on existing missions. Each of these offers unique objectives, such as not firing a single bullet, and players will earn Intel to spend on gadget upgrades, weapons and outfits.

You can even compete against other players courtesy of online leaderboards for the best possible time. Of course, there are also different difficulty settings for the campaign, so it’s possible to extend that playtime even further.

Launching on May 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (with the Switch 2 version out later this Summer), 007 First Light will have even more to offer post-launch with new Tac Sim missions. Head here for more details from the previews, or watch the title sequence featuring the theme “First Light” by Lana Del Rey.
