KID ICARUS: UPRISING

It makes sense to close off this feature with the entry that probably deserves to be in here more than all the rest. There’s no denying that Kid Icarus: Uprising is an excellent game. The third person shooter routinely ranks close to the top on many lists for the 3DS’ greatest games, and that’s certainly warranted praise. Even so, you could seriously mess up your hand playing this game. From its high-octane on-rails third person shooting sections – which used the triggers for shooting and the touch screen for aiming – to the on-ground gameplay sections where you had more control over movement – but the controls were somehow even more cramped – playing Kid Icarus: Uprising could often be a very physically discomforting experience.
