The Last Guardian

Team Ico have produced some of the most relevant examples of commercial art gaming in the past decade, and all of their titles have oozed a certain quality seldom seen elsewhere. With the recent HD remakes of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus whetting our collective appetites, The Last Guardian won’t be a hard sell come release day.

Halo 4

It was with a bitter sweet temperament that fans received 2010’s Halo Reach, Bungie’s final farewell to the Halo franchise. Though it marked the end of Bungie’s involvement in the series, 343 Industries have taken up the reigns, marking the return of Master Chief in the upcoming Halo 4. The change of developers could make for either a refreshing change or a fall from grace, but there’s no doubt that this one will attract some serious attention in the coming year.

Grand Theft Auto 5

The next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series is set for a 2012 release date and, as always, fans anticipate the detailed world, hyper violence and subsequent social controversy that it will generate. The semi-recent trailer caused enough uproar alone, so expect GTA5 to make huge waves in the industry next year. Let’s just hope no reviewers break their own scoring systems again. Keep it sensible guys.
