10. Nintendo Direct
Nintendo made waves when they backed out of holding a traditional key note at this year's E3. Since the convention began in 1995 Nintendo have been at the forefront of the conference, so we were all set to severely miss their presence. Turns out they gave a Nintendo Direct that was still pretty much a conference just under another name. That said, the press were forced to get up much earlier for it, the stream barely worked and the games on offer were a cavalcade of safety and conservative design. Try harder next time Nintendo and, rather than apologise for so many game delays, just release some damn games.
