STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC- COMBAT TRAILERS
People had quite high expectations from The Old Republic, and it was not just because of BioWare’s track record with Star Wars RPGs. No, the trailers had a lot of beautiful CG that showed combat that looked fluid and highly synchronized, and while BioWare never claimed that what they were showing was actual in-game gameplay footage, the actual game ended up being a significantly different from what we had been led to believe. The combat was typical MMO-fare, involving players standing in front of each other and using hotkeys, while the production values in general, from the character models and animations to lip syncing, were below par as well.
