BULLET SPONGE ENEMIES

Cyberpunk 2077_08

Cyberpunk 2077’s cross-genre approach that tackles both shooters and role playing games can inherently give rise to an issue that many similar games face- bullet sponge enemies. If you’re shooting someone in the head, you want them to go down immediately, but if you’re playing an RPG, you want your character build and stats to govern the damage you’re dealing. Not a lot of games have been able to strike the right balance- and it seems Cyberpunk 2077 also struggles with that a little bit. In their review, Game Watcher have said that Cyberpunk 2077 has a very notable case of enemies being bullet sponge enemies, and they even say that several enemies in the game can take an entire 30 bullet-magazine’s worth of damage before they go down.
