SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS
Shadow of the Colossus is yet another example of a game using extremely minimalistic storytelling to convey an excellent story that is hard to forget. The world you traverse through in the game is desolate and hauntingly beautiful, and populated only by majestic, gargantuan colossi. Bit-by-bit putting the pieces together and learning more about the world, the Colossi, and your own personal quest makes for some surprisingly captivating storytelling. All of it, of course, leads up to a startling ending, which just elevates the entire experience even further.
