FromSoftware delivered a smash success with Elden Ring, taking everything the team learnt from previous outings and delivering a game that’s bigger and better in every regard. Unlike many AAA games where an open world is just a selling point to the consumer, Elden Ring takes each virtual square foot of The Lands Between very seriously – littering the entire map with boss fights, chance encounters, and hidden secrets that make exploration a constantly enjoyable affair.
There’s a definitive set path that you are supposed to follow, but the real fun comes from venturing off the beaten path and just soaking in the views and exploring on your own. Elden Ring has the ability to surprise you with the vast breadth of secrets available. You could be taken to a secret underground world, you might find yourself in a dream world with legendary dragons, or even traversing down a giant tree.
