Crysis
Crysis is graphical innovation. The original game promoted PC gaming more than any other exclusive back in 2007, and Crytek proved just how adept they were with console programming with Crysis 2. What leaps and bounds we could expect to see in Crysis 3 is uncertain, but if it comes to next gen hardware, expect the improvements to be vast and numerous.
Resident Evil
The original RE trilogy offered technically unassuming tension that has made the series now legendary. The fourth and fifth entries into the series offered something a little different however. Number five in particular, despite garnering a mixed reception, had an incredible amount of visual polish. We can only imagine the leaps the series will enjoy when it makes its way over to the Xbox 720 and PS4.
The Elder Scrolls
Though it isn’t likely to nab any awards for its graphical consistency, the Elder Scrolls series has always been able to wow us with its sense of scale and refreshing spontaneity. The amount of processing power required to achieve the level of detail shown in Skyrim must have been a struggle for Bethesda to squeeze out of current gen hardware, so heads will turn when Bethesda get their hands on the increased power of next generation’s hardware.
