With Square Enix snapping up Deus Ex related domain names at the moment, it seems like a safe bet that a sequel may well be in the pipeline. Deus Ex: Human Defiance was the first name out of the woodwork and, though it’s rumoured to be a film adaptation of the series, other trademarks hint at a new game called Deus Ex: The Fall.
It’s not confirmed of course, and we know very little about what will be included in the new project. That said, it means we can spout any amount of falsehood and can’t be disproved for the foreseeable future. So let’s start thinking of ten things we’d love to see in the next Deus Ex.

1. Better Boss Battles
Going right for the jugular, The Fall needs to rectify the biggest criticism levelled at Human Revolution. For a game so dependent on player agency and decision, the boss battles forced you into clumsy close range encounters that felt wrong. They were also hard, too hard, often. The Missing Link DLC rectified this with an awesome end of story boss that you could use your wits to get around. Let's hope more of that makes it into The Fall.
