KILLZONE SHADOW FALL
Visual downgrades and games often go hand in hand, but though Killzone Shadow Fall didn’t exactly see such a downgrade in the conventional sense, there were some who felt that they’d been misled by the game’s advertising. Shadow Fall was advertised as a shooter that would run at 1080p, but when it launched, it was discovered that that resolution is not natively achieved, and instead achieved by upscaling through temporal reprojection. A class action suit was filed claiming false advertising- but the parties would eventually reach a settlement out of court.
