As one of Batman’s long-time villains, Poison Ivy fighting to protect Gotham in Arkham Knight is ironic. When the Cloudburst goes off and spreads Scarecrow’s Fear Toxin throughout the city, Ivy does everything to keep her plants alive (since they can neutralize the toxin). In the end, she uses her last bit of strength to empower her plants, and thus cleanses Gotham. Her last words before disintegrating? “Nature always wins.”
