Sora – Kingdom Hearts 3
The climactic battle between Sora’s group and Organization 13 is one with no shortage of loss. On top of everyone dying at one point, which was fixed by Sora’s power of Waking, even Donald faces a near-death scare. Near the end, Master Xehanort destroys Kairi’s body, enraging Sora and forming the χ-blade. After a hard-fought battle, Sora wins and Kingdom Hearts is subsequently sealed. However, Sora decides to use the power of Waking to revive Kairi.
While successful, it seemed that Sora sacrificed himself to save her. The reveal of Kingdom Hearts 4 has since revealed that he’s alive and in the world of Quadratum but this raises more questions than answers. Regardless, despite so much fighting, emotional trauma, and doubt, Sora didn’t think twice about sacrificing himself to save a loved one.
