You cannot turn off the light bar on the DualShock 4. I wondered why Sony did not included  the option of just turning the light off via the PS4’s user interface, but I guess this will do for now. The funny thing is that the developers can switch off the light if they want to. Perhaps Sony will fix it in a future firmware update.
