Prague – Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
The third act of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is set in Eastern Europe and sees Solid Snake meeting up with Big Mama to find the body of Big Boss. In terms of inspiration, the overall design of the region was based on Prague in the Czech Republic. The train station, for instance, is recreated from Prague’s Central Station. The Volta river is inspired by the Vltava river while the bridge seen during the motorcycle chase sequence is akin to the Charles Bridge (though somewhat smaller in appearance). Even the narrow, twisting streets with buildings on either side look fairly similar.
