Nepal – Far Cry 4
From its initial reveal, Ubisoft made it clear that Kyrat was a fictional country in the Himalayas that was based on Nepal. This is fairly obvious given the extensive, snow-covered mountains seen in-game. Along with Nepal, various influences from India and Tibet can also be seen. The Indian influence lies in the fact that Kyrat is north of Patna while the name itself is seemingly derived from Kirata, which in Sanskrit, refers to mountain dwellers (in this case, those living in the Himalayas).
