NO TUTORIALS WHATSOEVER

Pokémon is one of the most inviting IPs for the layperson out there. In fact, the mainline Pokémon games are positively straddled with tutorials. So it’s a bit puzzling to see that Pokémon Go (which, by definition is going to have a far broader reach and range than any mainline game in the series) makes absolutely no efforts to introduce and explain many- if not all- of its concepts and features. In fact, if it weren’t for the thriving community around the game, most players probably wouldn’t even be aware of most of the mechanics and concepts in the game.
