A PEACEFUL VILLAGE GETS ATTACKED
The game takes it times to set up how untouched and isolated this little pocket of peaceful existence is, this picturesque and happy little village- until it’s not. A band of bandits or monsters or cronies of the dark lord comes in and destroys it all, burning the crops, destroying the buildings, and also probably killing or abducting someone very close to the protagonist. This is, of course, what kickstarts your whole journey.
