MEANINGLESS SIDE QUESTS IN THE BEGINNING
Thankfully, we’ve now gotten to a point where (most) developers are beginning to realize the importance and value of good side quests. Even still, more often than not, RPGs tend to take their time ramping up the quality in this area, and the side quests you encounter in the opening hours tend to be boring, or meaningless, or of the fetch quest variety- if not all of the above. From fetching herbs to going fishing to delivering packages to the the town’s lord, your initial tasks in RPG are often tend to be the definition of dull.
